Rev Bill Slack

Rev Bill Slack is Vice-Convener of the Scottish Churches’ National Sponsoring Body for Local Ecumenical Partnerships.

Bill Slack is General Director of the Baptist Union of Scotland. He served firstly as General Secretary from 1995 - 2003 and then as General Director following the restructuring of the Union through the "Challenge to Change" process.

He commenced his ministry at Livingston where he served from 1974 - 1982 and then was minister of the International Baptist Church in Aberdeen from 1982 - 1995. He is married to Vivienne and they have one daughter, Emma, who works with YMCA in Aberdeen.

Bill is Vice Convenor of the Division of Evangelism and Education for the Baptist World Alliance, serves on the Executive of the European Baptist Federation and is Chairperson of the Fellowship of British Baptists in which the three UK Baptist Unions and the BMS World Mission are partners.
