Churches Agency for Inter Faith Relations in Scotland (CAIRS)
Latest additions ...
The March 2009 edition of The Bridge is available here.
CAIRS Education Officer, Andrew Sarle, and ACTS General Secretary, Stephen Smyth, were involved in the production of a multi-faith resource called "Values in Harmony - the promotion of good community relations described by 11 religions and beliefs in Scotland" This includes the Golden Rule as found in the 11 different faith and belief traditions. The result of our collaboration, led by Geoff Lachlan of the Scottish Inter Faith Council is available for download here (pdf, 2994 Kb) It is an excellent resource that enable us to celebrate our commonality with other beliefs, rather than focus on what divides us.

Sharing of Faiths Prayer
Almighty ever-living God, Lord of the universe and Lord of our lives, we praise you. You have created us to be Your people, drawn from all the rich variety of the world's families and the world's Faiths.
We confess that we are prisoners of prejudice, bound by the chains of yesterday's wrongs and tomorrow's fears. We pray that You will forgive the wrong that we have done and set us free from our fear of one another, free to celebrate our beliefs and our liberty as one universal family under God.
