Scottish Churches Racial Justice Group

We believe that struggling for racial justice is an imperative in the Gospel and should be a central part of the mission and ministry of the church.

" … learn to do good; seek justice, rescue the oppressed …". Isaiah 1:17

We seek to support Churches in Scotland in their call to

- Become aware of the centrality of racial justice to their mission and ministry
- Resist racism and challenge power relations established on the basis of prejudice and racism
- Work towards a just and inclusive 'multicultural' society

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus". (Galatians 3:28)

We could assist you with:

- Advice and support in race equality/discrimination area and asylum
- Providing speaker on racism, discrimination, asylum issues
- Identifying and delivering training in racism and diversity
- Networking with black and minority ethnic churches and groups

"For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who is not partial and takes no bribe. He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing. Love the sojourner therefore; for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt". Deut 10: 17-19

We would like your support to:

- Become an advocate for racial justice in your church and community
- Support and speak for and with those that suffer discrimination and abuse
- Pray for victims of racism and for those seeking asylum and are refugees

"After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no man could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb". Revelation 7: 9 -10
