ACTS' Mission Network comprises representatives from the member churches and from the Scottish Bible Society (who are a Body in Association), from CTBI and from the Churches’ Rural Group. The Network meets twice yearly and reports to the Members Meeting. It's next meeting has been fixed for Tuesday 10 November 2009 at Scottish Churches House, Dunblane from 10am (coffee) for 10.30am start and finishes with lunch at 1.00pm.
The Mission network is currently looking into the process, feasibility and possibilities of the provision of worship in areas of new development. Following the success of the Phase 1 Task Group in its information gathering process, a Phase 2 Task Group has now been agreed and will meet on 17 June 2009 at Scottish Churches House, Dunblane and on 1 July 2009 at The Church of Scotland Offices, Edinburgh.
A Working Group looking at the value of church in community carried out a research study 'Through the Keyhole' and has now completed its report . This study supported the background work of Being Church in looking at what value the church has to the unchurched in today's community. The results have been fascinating and provide valuable discussion points and information for the churches and for congregations.
