CONSULTANCY ON ECUMENICAL MINISTERIAL FORMATION
ACTS is pleased to announce the appointment of Miriam McHardy as Consultant on Ecumenical Ministerial Formation. This consultancy will commence in August 2018 for a two-year period; she will be contactable through the ACTS office.
Miriam McHardy has been active in the faith sector for over twenty years, most recently as a freelance consultant. She has worked with a range of organisations including Eco Congregation Scotland, the Maryvale Institute, SCIAF, New College Edinburgh and Trocaire as well as the Catholic Archdiocese of St Andrews and Edinburgh where she was Coordinator of the Justice and Peace programme.
She is an experienced project manager, writer, researcher and facilitator, and a trained spiritual director.
Miriam has an MTh in Christian Ethics and Practical Theology from New College in Edinburgh. She has a particular interest in the role of faith in encouraging and supporting engagement in social issues, and how such engagement contributes to faith formation and development.
She sits on the board of Scottish Churches Housing Action, representing the Roman Catholic Bishops' Conference of Scotland, is actively involved in her local Churches Together group and a member of Church Action on Poverty's ecumenical Worship and Theology Collective.
