Action of Churches Together in Scotland autumn conference

took place on Saturday 27 October 2018.

  • Opening worship was led by the Rt Rev Susan Brown, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland

 

  • "Making Connections" the opening session led by the Rt Rev Susan Brown, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland

 

  • Rev Canon Professor Charlotte Methuen, Professor of Church History at the University of Glasgow, led the conference through a reflection on the "Appeal to all Christian People" (1920) . . . as a response to the catastrophe of WW1 and as the catalyst for ecumenism in Britain and Ireland in the years thereafter.

  • Mr John Barrie, Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, and Rev Kevin Mackenzie, Church of Scotland, ended the day with a presentation about local ecumenical working in East Kilbride - the Community Integration Project
