2007 is the bi-centenary of the passing of the Act which abolished the slave trade in the British Empire. As part of its work to mark the Bi-Centenary ACTS has produced a leaflet designed to help make Scottish people aware of Scotland's involvement in the Trade and in the campaign to abolish it.

The leaflet also draws attention to the work that the Churches continue to undertake to combat modern forms of slavery." Copies of the leaflet can be obtained from Tom Moyes, ACTS' Network Officer. Racial Justice Sunday leafleat
Every year on the second Sunday in September, Racial Justice Sunday is an opportunity for all Christians in Britain and Ireland to join together in a day of prayer for racial justice.  Racial Justice Sunday 2007 is on 9th September.  The theme is “Go to a land I will show you” (Gen. 12:1), highlighting the movement of peoples in an unjust world.  A pack of materials is now available from Methodist Publishing House.
