On October 10th we were pleased to welcome Rev Graham Carter, President of the Methodist Church for 2006-2007, to the ACTS office.
Together with Rev Jim Jones, the Chair of the Scotland District, he spent the morning meeting staff and sharing something of the nature of ecumenical engagement which is facilitated by ACTS.
In his Presidential address to Methodist Conference, held for the first time in Scotland in June this year, Graham challenged those present: "Without being powerful or influential in a worldly sense, if we live as committed, responsible disciples, we can change the world.
" I call upon Methodists everywhere to devote themselves to committed and responsible discipleship, become a subversive Christian community once again and live the kingdom."
