![]() NewsCTBI seeks new General Secretary October 3, 2005 Churches Together in Britain and Ireland are seeking to appoint a General Secretary. This is a full time position, based in London. The person appointed will take the lead in transforming CTBI into an agency of the National Instruments with the focus on networking and providing a catalyst for new initiatives. This exciting post needs someone of vision, who is able to hold CTBI to this new role by working with the general secretaries of the national ecumenical bodies, as well as being at the service of the Churches as they discern the future directions for ecumenical relating in Britain and Ireland. As well as your knowledge and experience of the breadth and diversity of the Church scene, you will be a person who puts a premium on relationship building. You will have a wide range of proven skills in such areas as communication, project management, self-management, IT and ecumenical working. The new post is expected to carry with it one of the following three portfolios: Church and Society; Inter Faith Relations; Study Secretary. You will need to specify in your application which of these portfolios you would want to undertake as General Secretary. Salary on CRM Related H grade at £36,366 for 2005.
