Last month the Scottish Churches Racial Justice Group organised two opportunites for people to come and 'Meet and Greet' Rev Francis Alao, the recently appointed Racial Justice Officer.
People were able to listen in as Francis engaged in conversation with Rev Lindsey Sanderson, ACTS Assistant General Secretary. Francis shared something of his life in Nigeria and Scotland, reflecting on the differences in church and society, but also the links which exist between the two nations. He went on to set out his vision for Racial Justice work amongst the churches in Scotland which includes building bridges between traditional and ethnic minority congregations, supporting international students, affirming ethnic minority members of ACTS member churches and promoting Racial Justice Sunday.
