FUTURE CHURCH CONFERENCE

Future Church and Missionary Diversity

30-31 October 2008
Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre
Selly Oak, Birmingham

God’s mission in the world is diverse – whatever the context, God’s mission is never expressed in quite the same way. Whilst some of the tools for mission e.g. mission accompaniment, are used in a variety of contexts they too will reflect cultural diversity.

With the help of Contextual Bible Study (CBS) led by Rev Susan Macdonald and Revd Dr Anne Tomlinson from the Scottish Episcopal Church, Des Bain of the Methodist Church in Ireland, Janice Price of GMN and the stories and experiences that participants bring, this conference will explore the diversity of God’s mission. The aim of the conference will be to deepen participants knowledge and practice of mission accompaniment and contextual Bible Study

Future Church and Missionary Diversity is for those who are engaged in working alongside churches and other groups in discerning and following the mission of God in the world. This will include clergy, ministers, lay ministers and other church leaders.

Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre is a well appointed, fully accessible conference centre in Selly Oak, Birmingham. For details see their website www.woodbrooke.org.uk

Cost: residential fee £140 (€175)
non-residential fee £ 80 (€100)
