Bodies in Association
The Bodies in Association belong to Churches Together in Britain and Ireland but many have distinctly Scottish elements to their organisations, or indeed are located primarily in Scotland and so are also involved in the life of ACTS, through the appropriate network.
The Bodies are much more autonomous in their organisation and financial security than the Associated Ecumenical Groups, and the levels of involvement they have with the formal ecumenical instruments varies considerably.
They represent, however, a wide spectrum of ecumenical activity in Britain and Ireland and it is often perceived that energy for ecumenical activity lies within the Bodies and Agencies rather than the formal ecumenical structures themselves.
